mistakes are seemed to be the hot debate topic in recent years over forums and
blogs. Introduction of Caffeine and Panda has made webmasters and site owners
really sleepless and they seek assistance and advice to fix or ensure that
their websites are not penalized by Google. Here we list out most common 25 SEO
mistakes that cause a penalty for the site in Google SERP. Black hat SEO

SEO Mistake No.1- Paid links on
High PR website:
You
might have seen paid links with high page rank, the toolbar of these links may
indicate Pr 6 or more. Only a few websites have high page rank and they are

SEO Mistake No.2- Multitude of
links for a few dollars:
This is a common
ad you may have seen on web world. Well, these are spam emails and adhering to

SEO Mistake No.3- Link exchange
on a large scale:
Link exchange is a natural
thing for some purposes for example, linking bloggers who link to you every
day. But, link exchange on a massive level can be noticed algorithmically, and

artificial link with same anchor text:
If
you have optimized all links to your site with some anchor text like ‘SEO

Links

many links within short time:
Getting
many links is not good for your website as Google controls the speed of links
and if you get more links within short period of time, then you will risk a
penalty even if the links are legitimate.

If you page includes a large number of broken
links, it will be detected algorithmically and lead to penalty in a sense that
you will lose page ranking.

links or none:
Having
more externals links to a website will lose the visibility of contents on
search engine. Likewise, no external links is against effective SEO rules and
will lead to penalty.

"bad areas”:
Spammers
use 404 errors as the direct links to bad areas. These links lead to decline
and make the site disappear and use the domain as their domain parking. Such

SEO Mistake No.11- Links hidden
in third-party services:
Links
to free services are hidden within the offerings they provide. It can be a
sidebar widget, CSS menu or a visitor’s counter. Google penalizes these kinds
of hidden links in SERP.
SEO Mistake No.12- Low quality
content:
Google Panda has been developed to concentrate
on low quality content. Superficial or keyword-loaded texts will drop down your
site on Google.

content:
If you post duplicate content
in your website, it can lead to degrade your site on Google.
SEO Mistake No.14- Unreadable
content:
Many sites are copying content
from similar sources and then modifying it incorrectly like, replacing some

content:
Contents taken from other
sources or sites are surely going to penalize your site.

This file actually does a

JavaScript index able:
Some sites show menus like, JavaScript
indexed by Google. You have to check if the menu employs HTML link using
"<a href="">" or with the entire URL.
SEO Mistake No.18- NoFollow:
You may have your blog
authority omitted from the Google index due to activating WordPress privacy
mode by them. This indicates that your entire blog is set to NoFollow and no
index and this is equal to blocking the blog with robots.txt.
SEO Mistake No.19- Duplicate
titles and descriptions:
If your site is using same
title and description for all pages, then it will not be indexed by Google.
SEO Mistake No.20- Too many ads
and little content:
Since the introduction of
Google Panda, many sites with a multitude of ads are resulted in a penalty.

Sandbox filter is active for
many years but, changing your domain without a sound signal will result in

Affiliated sites:
Google
states that affiliate sites are fine but, only if they give extra value other
than what serves the site link it. If the site does not offer any value, then
it will be penalized.
SEO Mistake No.23- Keyword
stuffing:
This
is the oldest spam method and scam SEO people advise webmasters to have a high
keyword density on their websites. But this is a blunder! You have to put
keywords in that places where it demands. Otherwise, Google will penalize your
site.
SEO Mistake No.24- Multiple h1
tags:
Multiple
h1 tags are used to spam the Google index and so, penalizing sites that use
many h1 tags.
SEO Mistake No.25- Changing
algorithm:
Many
sites do not cope with the changes that Google make in its algorithm. This
leads to penalty in Google SERP.

This was an amazing post! :-)
But I had 1 doubt : "SEO Mistake No.6- Link from unrelated languages"
Why would this be a problem, when Google has the Google Translate Tool everywhere? I have an english website, but I have a good rapo with few non english sites, I use Google Translate to inderstand their posts.
Apart I have learnt few foreign languagues too, thus I have less problem to interact with non english languages!
Please explain this point a bit in depth!
